This record is in the Delaware Archives, New Castle County Deeds, Vol W-1, pg 585-586"This Indenture made the fourteenth Day of the fifth month in the Fourth Year of the Reign of Sovereign Lord George the third Over Great Britain, France and Ireland King. And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty four Between Joseph Gorby of Brandywine Hundred in the County of New Castle upon Delaware yeoman and Mary his wife of the one part and James Huston of the Hundred and County aforesaid, yeoman of the other part Whereas the said Joseph Gorby and Mary his wife is and doth stand lawfully seized and Possessed of a Certain Tract of Land and plantation situate and being in the Hundred & county aforesaid bounded and Described asfolloweth to the Southwest by Shillpot creek to the South East by land of Justa Paulson formerly of Nathaniel Cartmill to the North East by land of Wiliam Talley and to the Northwest by land of the aforesaid James Huston and Containing within the meets and bounds thereof One Hundred Acres..."
